What We Do
Our firm is experienced in handling claims against debt collectors arising under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. We handle both individual claims and, when the claim seems typical of a debt collector's widespread practice, class action claims.
Through the use of local attorneys throughout the United States and because the law applies nationwide, we are able to represent consumers across the country.
Our firm is also experienced in defending consumers who have been sued to collect a debt.

Our Focus:
The overwhelming majority of people who
find themselves unable to timely pay their
debts are sincerely trying to find a way to
survive in an increasingly competitive
society. They don't become second-class
citizens because they are in default. Like
all individuals, they are entitled be treated
with respect, honesty and decency
particularly by the people trying to collect
those debts.
Unfortunately, mistreatment of
consumers by the debt collection industry
as a whole had reached intolerable levels
causing Congress to impose a code of
conduct - the Fair Debt Collection
Practices Act (FDCPA). The Act was
intended to both protect consumers and
allow ethical, conscientious collectors to
not be competitively disadvantaged by the
successes of unscrupulous ones. By
allowing the courts to award consumers
both their attorney's fees and up to
$1,000 in "statutory damages," the law
encourages and empowers everyday
consumers to enforce the law.
Sometimes, consumers are sued by a
creditor or a debt buyer. Our experience
is that most consumers have no real
understanding of why they owe the
amount which is claimed in the lawsuit.
We believe that anyone seeking the aid of
the court ought to be able to prove a
case with proper evidence and that
includes creditors and debt buyers. In our
opinion, far too frequently creditors and
debt buyers lack the required evidence
which we feel not only is essential to the
case but also essential to maintain the
credibility of our judicial system.
